Dear Bride to be,

Let’s be real for a second: not everyone wants the big, over-the-top wedding with a hundred moving parts and a weekend-long itinerary. Some couples just want something real. Something beautiful, intimate, and focused on what actually matters — love, connection, and the people who mean the most.

If that sounds like you, you’re in the right place.

I’m Shayna — the face behind Shayna Lee Photography, based in Woodstock, Ontario. I serve couples within a 90 km radius who are planning small weddings, elopements, or just want to keep things simple and stress-free. And I don’t just show up with a camera — I show up with heart, presence, and a passion for capturing your story exactly as it is.

For the Couples Who Want Less Stress, More Feeling

Your wedding doesn’t need to be a production to be unforgettable. If you're the kind of couple who’d rather have tacos than a ten-course meal, dance barefoot in your backyard, or say “I do” in a quiet park surrounded by your closest family and friends — that’s my kind of vibe.

I work with engaged couples who care more about connection than perfection. You want the big feelings, the happy tears, the ridiculous laughter — and maybe just one solid photo of your uncle cutting loose on the dance floor.

You're not looking for a rigid timeline or a high-pressure experience. You want a photographer who gets it — who’s easygoing, fun, and knows how to catch the real stuff without making it feel staged.

That’s exactly what I do.

I'm a Mom — and That Shapes Everything About How I Work

As a mom, I know how fast time moves. I know how precious the real, in-between moments are — the ones that often slip by unnoticed. That perspective is baked into how I shoot weddings.

I only take on 10 to 15 weddings per year, and that’s by choice. I want to give my full energy, attention, and creativity to every couple I work with. This isn’t a side hustle. This is a passion I pour myself into — and I treat every wedding as if it were the only one on my calendar.

That means when you book me, you’re not getting a rushed, overbooked vendor. You’re getting someone who shows up fully — who listens, who cares, and who captures the essence of your day, not some cookie-cutter version of a wedding.

Small Weddings, Elopements, Backyard Ceremonies — I’m Here for All of It

Some of my favorite weddings have happened in backyards, local parks, family cottages, or city hall steps. It’s not about the venue — it’s about the people, the emotion, the commitment. I love working with couples who are intentional about their day. Who say, “This is who we are — let’s celebrate that.”

Whether you're planning:

  • A micro-wedding with 20 guests and your dog as the ring bearer
  • An elopement just the two of you and your vows at sunset
  • A laid-back, DIY wedding with pizza and polaroids

…you don’t need a giant event to make magic. You just need someone who sees the beauty in simplicity — and captures it with love.

Booking for 2026 & 2027 Weddings — Don’t Wait

I book up quickly, especially since I limit the number of weddings I take each year. If you're engaged and planning for 2026 or 2027, now is the time to reach out. Booking early gives us plenty of time to talk about your vision, your values, and how we can make the photography feel as effortless as the rest of your day.

Let’s Make This Easy (And Fun)

You don’t have to know every detail yet. You don’t need a perfectly curated Pinterest board or a timeline set in stone. If you’re just starting to plan and looking for someone who can help guide the photography part without adding stress, I’m your girl.

Visit shaynaleephotography.org to check out my portfolio, read reviews from other couples, and say hello. I’d love to hear about your plans, your love story, and what kind of day you’re dreaming up.

Because weddings don’t have to be complicated to be unforgettable — and photography doesn’t have to be stiff or awkward to be stunning.
